Transportation in Chongqing - Subway

Some colleagues asked me if we could provide 'Chongqing Subway Route Map-English Version' as he just could get the Chinese version. I consulted all my friends in Chongqing and finnally, we make it.

Please refer to the brief introduction of CQ subway construction and you could find the route map as below

Line 1: According to the programming, rail Line 1 is a subway line. This line will stretch from east to the west from Chao Tian Men to University Town. Phase 1 of Line 1 is from Chao Tian Men to Sha Ping Ba, which will have a 16.5 kilometers (10 miles) long rail way with 14 stations. The phase 1 has been constructed since 2007 and is scheduled to put into use in 2011. Phase 2 of Line 1 is from Sha Ping Ba to University Town, 20.2 kilometers (12.5 miles) railway will be constructed with 9 stations. The construction of Phase 2 started from 2009 and is scheduled to be finished in 2012.
 Line 2: Light Rail Line 2 was started to construct in the year of 2000 and was put into use in 2006, it operates between Jiao Chang Kou in downtown area to Xin Shan Cun in the suburban area.
 Line 3: Line 3 is the main transportation line in Chongqing, going from south to north, from Yu Dong to Jiangbei Airport with a length of 60 kilometers. It connects two railway stations (Cai Yuan Ba Railway Station and Chongqing North Railway Station), four long distance bus stations, and two Business Sub-centers (Nanping Business and Guan Yun Qiao Business Sub-centers).
The whole project was divided into three phases' construction. Phase 1 (2007~2011) is from Er Tang to Long Tou Si (Chongqing North Railway Station) with 21 kilometers (13 miles) length with 18 stations. Phase 2 (2009~2011) will start from Long Tou Si to Jiangbei Airport. With total length of 18 kilometers (11 miles), there will be 12 stations along this part. The construction of Phase 3 is from Er Tang to Yu Dong, which will have 8 stations in 14 kilometers (9 miles) line. This phase is scheduled to be put into use in 2013.
